I am seriously furious about my experience with the Rocky Mountain Review Journal. It took them a YEAR to vet my work and tell me my submission was accepted. A YEAR. Then they published my article a semester later than expected, but just before I was hired so, of course, it won't count toward tenure. FINALLY, they misspelled my name. I asked them to correct it a year ago. Today I did a search for my work online and it's STILL incorrect. It's unprofessional and discouraging. So now when I share my article with my students next semester I am supposed to just tell them to ignore the typo because the journal couldn't spell my name right? I emailed the entire editorial board but am not feeling hopeful. Never again.
